Full Job Description

Build your own recurring book of managed IT customers without having to build the technical operation behind it.

Pinnacle is looking for ambitious, entrepreneurial people who want more upside and ownership than a traditional sales role.

You find customers, sell managed IT services, and manage the relationship. Pinnacle handles the technical delivery behind you, including onboarding, onshore help desk support, cybersecurity, monitoring, device management, and ongoing IT operations.

This is a performance-based opportunity with no guaranteed base salary.

The Opportunity

Our managed IT services typically sell for around $200 per employee per month.

Partners earn a higher share when they originate a new customer, then continue earning recurring revenue for as long as they remain the active account owner and manage that customer relationship.

For each customer you originate:

25% of recurring revenue during the customer's first 12 months
10% of recurring revenue after the first 12 months, for as long as you remain the active account owner

For example, a 20-person customer paying $200 per employee generates $4,000 per month in revenue.

During the first 12 months, your 25% share would be $1,000 per month, or $12,000 for the year.

After the first 12 months, if you continue managing the relationship as the account owner, your 10% share would be $400 per month, or $4,800 per year.

As you add and retain customers, that recurring income builds over time.

Build a Portfolio

This is not a traditional sales role where you close a deal, collect a one-time commission, and start over.

Each customer you bring on becomes part of the book of business you manage.

You continue earning recurring revenue from those customers as long as they remain active and you continue serving as their account owner, subject to the partner agreement.

If you eventually decide to stop managing a customer and the account is transferred to Pinnacle or another partner, the ongoing account-owner revenue share ends.

Subject to the partner agreement, customer contracts, and Pinnacle approval, partners may also have the opportunity to sell or transfer their customer portfolio to Pinnacle or another approved Pinnacle partner if they eventually decide to step away.

Pinnacle does not guarantee that it or another partner will purchase any portfolio.

What You Will Do

Find and develop relationships with small and midsize businesses
Sell recurring managed IT and cybersecurity services
Own and manage long-term customer relationships
Support renewals, retention, and account growth
Build your own pipeline and book of business
Work with Pinnacle to make sure customers receive the right service

What Pinnacle Handles

Pinnacle provides the technical infrastructure and service-delivery team behind you, including:

Customer onboarding
Onshore help desk and technical support
Device management
Cybersecurity
Monitoring
Ongoing IT service delivery

You can focus primarily on sales, customer relationships, retention, and growth.

You May Be a Strong Fit If You

Have experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management
Already have relationships with SMB owners or decision-makers
Are highly entrepreneurial
Are comfortable generating your own pipeline
Want to build recurring income over time
Enjoy owning customer relationships rather than simply closing transactions
Prefer autonomy and upside over a traditional corporate role

Previous IT experience is helpful but not required.

Strong backgrounds may include managed services, telecom, SaaS, payroll, insurance, commercial banking, accounting services, managed print, consulting, or other relationship-driven B2B industries.

Compensation

There is no guaranteed base salary.

Partners earn:

25% of recurring revenue from customers they originate during the customer's first 12 months
10% of recurring revenue thereafter for as long as they remain the active account owner

Compensation is uncapped and depends on the customer portfolio you build, retain, and continue to manage.

For example, a 20-person customer paying approximately $200 per employee per month generates $4,000/month in revenue.

During the first year, your 25% share would be $1,000/month, or $12,000/year.

After the first year, while you remain the account owner, your 10% share would be $400/month, or $4,800/year.

If you are successful at selling to businesses and have thought about building something of your own, Pinnacle gives you a way to build a recurring customer portfolio without having to create an IT operation from scratch.
