Business Development Sales Executive - Production Print & Imaging

About the Role

We are launching a dedicated go-to-market motion for our newest production digital print solution — purpose-built for greeting card manufacturers, personalized stationery brands, photo product companies, and commercial print operators across North America.

We are looking for a Business Development Sales Executive who already understands this industry from the inside — someone who knows how greeting card makers, photo labs, and personalized-product manufacturers buy capital equipment, and how printing-equipment dealers and distributors operate.

This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up. You'll operate independently from the existing sales team, with the freedom to choose the optimal sales approach (direct or dealer) on a deal-by-deal basis.

This is an Individual Contributor role at the same level as our existing Sales Executives, with no direct reports.

What You'll Do

Identify, develop, and close new end-customer accounts — targeting greeting card manufacturers, photo labs, print-on-demand businesses, personalized stationery brands, and commercial print operators
Identify, sign, and onboard new dealer partners to expand our channel footprint across North America
Evaluate each opportunity and select the best route to market — direct or through a dealer
Articulate the full value of our production print platform, including post-sale recurring revenue from consumables and service contracts
Coordinate with existing Sales Executives to ensure clean territory and account boundaries
Report pipeline activity and surface product, pricing, and program insights to leadership

How You'll Be Measured

Newly acquired units (direct + channel combined)
Number of newly signed dealers and their first-year volume
Platform / service activation rate on sold units
Recurring revenue (consumables / service) from your installed base

What We're Looking For Required

5+ years of B2B sales experience selling production printing equipment, photo finishing equipment, commercial printers, or related capital hardware
Hands-on experience selling both direct AND through dealer / distributor / reseller networks
Proven track record in new-logo acquisition, including cold outbound
Direct experience identifying, signing, and onboarding new dealers or VARs in the print, imaging, or related capital-equipment space
Domain knowledge of one or more: greeting card manufacturers, photo labs / retailers, print-on-demand companies, personalized product brands, or commercial printers
Willingness to travel across the US and Canada (30–50%)

Preferred

Direct sales experience at production print equipment manufacturers — e.g., HP Indigo, Konica Minolta AccurioPress, Canon Production Print, FUJIFILM, DNP, Kodak, Roland DG, Ricoh Pro
Background at greeting card, stationery, or photo product companies — e.g., Hallmark, American Greetings, Papyrus, Avanti, Up With Paper, Shutterfly, Cewe, Photobox, Minted, Vistaprint
Experience with SaaS or subscription pricing models tied to consumables and service contracts
Experience designing dealer incentive programs, accelerators, or channel-margin structures
Trade show presence at PRINTING United, drupa, PG Live, or National Stationery Show
Bilingual (English + French) for Canadian market coverage

Compensation

Base from $105,000
Variable compensation is structured around the cross-channel, partner-development, and recurring-revenue nature of this role, with meaningful upside built in for those who build markets and grow long-term installed-base value
Specific components, accelerators, and quota structure will be discussed during the interview process
