Payroll & Administrative Coordinator (Part-Time, 20 Hours/Week)
Atlantic Staffing & Payroll Services (ASPS)
Location: Remote, Maine

Atlantic Staffing LLC, a staffing firm supporting State of Maine government agencies, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Payroll & Administrative Coordinator to join our team. This is a key part-time (20 hours per week) position in a small, locally-based staffing firm responsible for payroll processing, invoicing, onboarding, and employee support.

Position Summary:

The Payroll & Administrative Coordinator is responsible for managing payroll operations, invoicing, employee onboarding, and personnel support functions. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains organized employee records, and provides responsive support to employees, supervisors, and external partners. The position plays a key role in maintaining efficient administrative operations and delivering excellent internal and client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Process weekly payroll accurately and on schedule
Manage weekly and monthly invoicing, ensuring timely billing and proper documentation
Maintain employee contract files, and records to ensure compliance and organization
Coordinate employee onboarding, including documentation and system setup
Provide support related to employee benefits, including communication and issue resolution
Serve as a point of contact for employees and supervisors, delivering clear and timely communication and support
Assist with ADP platform support and respond to related payroll inquiries
Provide general administrative and operational support as needed

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Effective communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Experience in payroll processing and administrative support preferred but not required
Familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems preferred but not required

Work Environment:
This is a fully remote position supporting a Maine-based staffing firm. The employee will work from a home office and must have a reliable internet connection. The role requires regular virtual communication with the owner and an ability to occasionally speak with employees and supervisors as well as the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote setting.
