Project Manager – Heavy Industrial Construction

Location: Heavy Industrial Construction - Nevada. ||| Arizona, Utah & Idaho are considered || Please don't apply from other States in the US

Employment Type: Full-time

Travel: Regular travel to project sites is required. Some projects may require full-time site rotations, such as 14 days on and 7 days off. Additional compensation is provided for rotational assignments.

Colony Construction is a growing General Contractor focused on industrial and heavy industrial construction across the United States.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role requires direct experience managing heavy industrial construction projects involving structural steel and/or pre-engineered metal buildings.

You will work closely with clients, field teams, subcontractors, suppliers and consultants. You will be responsible for project budgets, schedules, procurement, documentation and overall project performance.

Required Experience

Applicants must have:

At least 6 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager.
Direct experience managing heavy industrial construction projects.
Direct experience managing structural steel and/or pre-engineered metal building projects.
Experience working for a General Contractor or Prime Contractor. Strong subcontractor experience may also be considered.
Experience managing project budgets, schedules, procurement and subcontractors.
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, codes and shop drawings.
The ability to manage projects independently with limited oversight.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction project management software.
The ability and willingness to travel regularly to project sites.
The ability to work full-time at a project site when required.

Preferred Experience

Procuring pre-engineered building packages.
Managing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Full commercial responsibility for project cost and performance.
Working knowledge of civil, mechanical and electrical scopes.
A degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Leading projects from award through closeout.
Managing project budgets, schedules and overall performance.
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and internal teams.
Managing procurement and long-lead materials.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and shop drawings.
Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders and contract documentation.
Coordinating structural, civil, mechanical and electrical scopes.
Supporting field teams through regular site visits and problem solving.
Identifying risks before they affect cost, schedule or safety.
Building strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget.

What Success Looks Like

During your first year, you will:

Take full ownership of one or more heavy industrial construction projects.
Become the primary point of contact for your assigned projects.
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and field teams.
Manage project budgets, schedules and execution with limited oversight.
Help strengthen Colony Construction’s presence in the U.S. market.
