DIRECTOR OF SALES

ABOUT AEROGO

AeroGo is a leader in manufacturing innovative load moving solutions that utilize wheels and advanced hovercraft technologies focused on friction free movement of heavy, uniquely sized, or sensitive pay loads. From the headquarters and manufacturing facility in Seattle, WA, our 60+ employees have helped produce proprietary and custom engineered equipment and transporters for nearly 60 years, setting the gold standard for quality, service and ingenuity.

This position is open due to the promotion of our VP of Sales to President We are seeking a strategic and hands-on sales leader to help shape the next chapter of our company.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing smart revenue growth for the company and leading the Sales team. This position sets a vision for strategic opportunities while tactically executing on a day-to-day basis. Reporting to the President, this role oversees a 10-person sales team and works closely with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance to execute AeroGo's growth strategy. This is an on-site position in Tukwila, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive profitable revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and sales performance through effective leadership and execution.
Develop, coach, and lead a high-performing sales team.
Build, enhance and maintain key customer relationships.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance to align growth strategies with production capacity, technical capabilities, market opportunities, and profitability goals.
Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
Report on sales activity and forecasting for leadership.
Foster accountability, engagement, and alignment with AeroGo's values.
Other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proven success leading a sales team through a complex consultative sales strategy.
Must demonstrate deep understanding of customer manufacturing challenges and translating AeroGo's technical capabilities into compelling business solutions. Able to identify opportunities around safety, labor, productivity, capital investment, and operational efficiency while inspiring customers with what's possible.
Proven success in the areas of negotiation, prospecting, and sales planning.
Advanced ERP & CRM proficiency, with demonstrated experience utilizing manufacturing operating systems (preferably SAP) to manage quotes, sales orders, product structures, BOMs, pricing, forecasting, backlog, and commercial reporting.
Strong analytical, forecasting, and reporting capabilities that includes strong data management skills.
In depth knowledge of manufacturing systems and product structures, including Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, part numbering, product configuration, revision control, and engineering change processes as they relate to quoting, order execution, and production planning.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively across departments while building trusting relationships and positively influencing others.
Experience selling industrial, material handling, or engineered equipment is a plus.

HOURS

This is a full-time position 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM with expected overtime.

TRAVEL

Ability to travel domestically and internationally - 25% travel. Passport required.

Must pass a security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required due to work associated with military defense companies.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The base salary is $165,000 - $185,000 with uncapped commission and bonus for meeting operational profit goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The position requires working in a manufacturing environment which may include hot, cold, or noisy conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Also required is the ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. Must be able to walk extended distances over uneven ground while wearing proper PPE.
