Full Job Description

Our Client: A leading provider of enterprise technology and mobility solutions, is seeking a Senior Network Architect. This role offers the chance to shape resilient, modern network strategy in a high-impact environment while advancing your career on innovative infrastructure and transformation initiatives.

Position: Senior Network Architect
Duration: Contract (1 -2 year)
Location: Plano, Texas, United States

Work Arrangement: Hybrid in Plano, TX

Role Summary:
Join a dynamic team driving the architecture of a large, complex enterprise network environment that connects business operations with manufacturing/OT needs. In this senior role, you ll provide strategic leadership across network standards, modernization roadmaps, and technology decisions that directly influence resilience, scalability, and security. You ll collaborate with engineering, operations, vendors, and leadership to guide transformation efforts and help shape a future-ready network. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architect who enjoys solving complex challenges and influencing enterprise-wide outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Define and maintain network architecture principles, design patterns, standards, and implementation guidance
Assess current-state technologies, identify gaps/risks, and drive modernization roadmaps
Lead RFP development, evaluate vendor proposals, and present recommendations to leadership
Partner with internal teams and external vendors to design and deliver network solutions
Provide architectural support for escalated issues and drive root cause analysis and remediation
Champion automation, AI-enabled tooling, and network analytics to improve efficiency
Establish governance frameworks and architectural guardrails across a multi-technology environment

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

10+ years of progressive enterprise network engineering and/or architecture experience
Experience spanning enterprise and plant/OT environments
Strong executive presence and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
A track record of supporting modernization, migration, or transformation programs
Advanced certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, PCNSE, or equivalent

Required Skills/Experience:

Deep Cisco-heavy enterprise and OT architecture experience
Hands-on expertise with Cisco SDA, Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE/ICE, Zscaler, SD-WAN, and wireless
Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, wireless, security, and cloud-adjacent services
Experience with MPLS resiliency, Palo Alto firewalls, and secure access solutions
Proven vendor management and RFP experience
Ability to translate business requirements into scalable network designs

Other Skills:

Experience with Ansible, Terraform, ThousandEyes, or similar tools
Familiarity with large-scale manufacturing environments
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
