Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from concept through completion. This role focuses on mechanical and piping systems supporting industrial, manufacturing, institutional, and heavy commercial projects.

What You’ll Do

As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while meeting our quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

Manage projects from estimate through closeout, including procurement, fabrication, construction, and final documentation
Develop cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements
Prepare and manage proposals, RFIs, submittals, contracts, sub-contracts, purchase orders, and change orders
Coordinate the full lifecycle of projects comprised primarily of the installation, repairs and / or modifications of mechanical equipment and piping systems
Oversee detailing, scheduling, scope of work adherence, and resolution of design and field coordination issues
Track & manage project schedules, budgets, schedules of values and billings
Conduct site visits and monitor safety, quality, and progress
Participate in client, pre‑bid, preconstruction, and coordination meetings
Maintain organized electronic and paper project documentation
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
Support positive client relationships and identify opportunities for future work
Mentor and collaborate with internal team members as needed

Qualifications

7+ years of construction project management experience, with an emphasis on mechanical and piping systems
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology or a related field preferred but not required
PMP certification preferred but not required
Knowledge of mechanical construction methods, piping systems, and fabrication/installation processes
Familiarity with applicable building codes and permitting requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines

Work Environment

Primarily office‑based with periodic visits to active job sites
Job site environments may include uneven terrain and varying weather conditions
Position may require the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
