Residential Program Operations Director

Location: San Franscico/San Rafael
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $90,000–$115,000 annually

Our organization is seeking a highly organized and experienced Residential Program Operations Director to oversee operations across three residential treatment facilities located within the Malibu area. This position is responsible for supporting the overall functionality, staffing, operational efficiency, and day-to-day success of multiple residential programs within a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

This role is heavily focused on operational leadership, team oversight, administrative management, and program coordination rather than carrying a direct clinical caseload. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in dynamic environments, can effectively manage multidisciplinary teams, and is passionate about maintaining high-quality residential programming and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple residential treatment facilities
Support and manage residential staff and leadership teams
Ensure programs are operating effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards
Partner with executive and clinical leadership regarding staffing, scheduling, compliance, and operational needs
Assist in developing and implementing operational processes and program improvements
Maintain strong communication and collaboration across departments and facilities
Support quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and program accountability initiatives
Help foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture across programs
Monitor operational workflows and support overall program functionality

Qualifications

Previous leadership or management experience within behavioral health, healthcare, residential treatment, or related settings preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Experience managing teams within fast-paced environments
Ability to effectively oversee multiple programs and priorities simultaneously
Operational and administrative leadership experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of residential treatment settings and behavioral health operations is highly desired

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within residential treatment center (RTC) environments
Familiarity with compliance and quality assurance processes
Strong leadership presence with the ability to support team development and accountability
Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
LMFT or AMFT
LPCC or APCC
LCSW or ASW
