Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent customer service abilities to effectively communicate with clients regarding their accounts.

Responsibilities

Key duties include preparing accurate monthly AIA construction billing packages, reviewing contracts, maintaining billing records and aging reports, and processing subcontractor pay applications
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
The Accounts Receivable Specialist ensures compliance with client requirements, resolves payment issues, monitors job costs and change orders
Prepare accurate and timely monthly AIA billing packages in accordance with client billing requirements
Conduct credit analysis and negotiate payment terms with clients when necessary.
Process invoice credit and bills, as necessary
Review client contracts to ensure proper and compliant billing submissions
Maintain organized and up-to-date job billing records
Manage and update the Accounts Receivable aging schedule
Capable of handling multiple projects while working independently
Assist / Support Project Managers
Reconcile customer accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure timely receipts, and following up on collections
Input new jobs accurately, and create new files accordingly

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles.
· 2+ years of AIA construction billing accounting experience required, preferably commercial construction, with knowledge of Procore, GCpay and Textura
Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy; 10 key typing proficiency is essential.
Excellent analytical skills for account analysis and reconciliation tasks.
· Excels in accuracy, attention to detail, time management, organizational, communication, and problem solving
Exceptional math skills to perform calculations accurately in financial reporting.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
