Experienced Line Chef – Leadership Growth Opportunity | Moonfish Brewery About the Role Moonfish Brewery is a family-owned, established brewery with a full bar, restaurant, and strong seasonal volume serving the Riverhead community. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Line Chef to join our fast-paced, professional kitchen team. This is more than a line position — it’s an opportunity for the right culinary professional to grow into a leadership role within a respected, high-volume operation. Candidates who demonstrate consistency, initiative, and strong kitchen leadership will have clear advancement potential. PLEASE NOTE: WE ARE ONLY CONSIDERING CANDIDATES WITH PREVIOUS LINE COOK EXPERIENCE IN HIGH VOLUME KITCHENS AND THOSE WHO HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY, INCLUDING SOME WEEKENDS. We are open to the public Tuesday-Saturday 12-9 and Sundays 12-7 pm.

Compensation $22–$24 per hour, based on experience and skill level Wage increases based on position, performance, and advancement Full-time hours available Strong seasonal volume with steady year-round operations Key Responsibilities Execute menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to presentation Maintain high food quality, safety, and sanitation standards Perform efficiently during high-volume service Assist with prep production, station setup, and breakdown Ensure proper labeling, rotation, and food storage procedures Communicate clearly with front-of-house and kitchen team members Maintain organization, cleanliness, and workflow standards For advancement candidates: assist with ordering, inventory control, scheduling support, and training junior staff

Qualifications Minimum 2–3 years line cook experience required High-volume or scratch kitchen experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to remain composed and productive under pressure Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Demonstrated leadership mindset and desire to advance Moonfish Brewery values professionalism, accountability, and teamwork. We are looking for culinary professionals who take pride in their craft and are ready to grow within a stable, locally owned business.
