Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in classrooms and admin buildings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and the ability to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenace tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Perform general cleaning duties in commercial, industrial, and school settings.
Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and maintaining various types of flooring.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
Dust surfaces, clean windows, and maintain overall cleanliness of the facility.
Assist with custodial tasks such as vacuuming carpets and maintaining cleanliness in high-traffic areas.
Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs needed or unsafe conditions.
Occasionally assist with residential painting projects as needed.
Serve as a porter by ensuring that all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in commercial cleaning and maintenance services is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
Good physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is an advantage.
Must possess a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
