Job Summary

Join our dynamic team at Rochester Institute of Technology as a Line Server, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service experiences to our guests. As a key member of the front-of-house team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food with enthusiasm, managing customer orders efficiently, and maintaining a clean and inviting workspace. Your energetic attitude and dedication to customer satisfaction will help create memorable dining moments and foster a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and freshness.
Serve food promptly and professionally, upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and service counters, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Manage food handling responsibilities responsibly, including proper storage, portioning, and waste reduction.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food preparation activities.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, processing cash transactions, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
Seasonal positions with opportunity to become permanent based on performance

Requirements

Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurant environments is highly preferred however, not necessary! We will train.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Experience working with kitchen equipment but not necessary
Food industry or restaurant experience is desirable; familiarity with food handling procedures is essential
Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
