Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, managing accounting engagements, and ensuring clients receive accurate, timely financial services. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members while contributing to the firm's continued success.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare federal, state, and local individual, corporate, partnership, and informational tax returns.
Review individual tax returns for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting and bookkeeping services for business clients.
Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
Support the training and development of junior accounting staff by providing guidance and technical assistance.
Collaborate with managers and partners on special projects, financial analysis, and client engagements.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation while meeting project deadlines.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and professional support.
Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and contribute to operational efficiency.

Work Environment

Full-time position (40 hours per week), with additional hours expected during peak tax season.
Based at one of the firm's office locations with flexibility for occasional remote work, depending on business needs.
Limited local travel may be required for client meetings or visits to other office locations.

Compensation

Competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required.
3–5 years of public accounting or relevant accounting experience.
CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification is preferred.
Solid understanding of federal and state tax laws and accounting principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Experience with tax and accounting software such as CCH Axcess or similar platforms is a
