Full Job Description

Position Summary:

Endocrinology office located in Pomona, NY (Rockland County) is looking for a full-time medical receptionist to enhance our medical office team.

The candidate should present professionally, have superior customer service skills (both in person and over the telephone), and have the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications:
Possess a calm, reassuring, competent demeanor and the ability to be sensitive to patient needs and attitude. Be capable of masking emotions and frustration when dealing with difficult situations and/or patients. Be knowledgeable about front desk operations within a medical setting. Be flexible for attendance at occasional evening and occasional education meetings. Possess an extraordinary ability to handle high call volume with the utmost professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Answering high volume of incoming phone calls.
Assisting patients with scheduling, rescheduling appointments for physicians, diabetic educator, lab, and ancillary specialists.
Assist patients during the check-in process, ensuring that all patient information is properly taken and input into practice management system.
Assist patients during check-out process, collecting co-payments, balances for services, and ensuring proper entries to the billing system are made.
Assist patients in navigating the office, answering questions or concerns with the utmost privacy and professionalism.
True team player assisting co-workers unconditionally in the workplace.
Flexibility with work schedule.
EMR experience a must; eClinical works preferred.
Bi-lingual Spanish also preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
