Full Job Description

Openwork is currently hiring a Bilingual HR Coordinator for a long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturing company in Tarboro, NC. This position is ideal for an organized, people-focused professional who enjoys recruiting, employee relations, and supporting a positive workplace culture. The role is primarily Human Resources (approximately 85%) with occasional administrative support to the Accounting department.

Schedule

Monday-Friday
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Occasional overtime as needed

Pay

$20.00-$25.00 per hour

Responsibilities

Human Resources

Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process for manufacturing and office positions, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding.
Conduct new hire orientation and ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Serve as a primary HR contact for employees regarding company policies, benefits, leave, and employment-related questions.
Translate HR documents and communicate policies, procedures, and training materials in both English and Spanish.
Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records while ensuring confidentiality.
Assist with benefits administration, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and leave management.
Support payroll by processing employee status changes and maintaining accurate timekeeping information.
Assist with employee relations by documenting concerns and partnering with management on resolutions.
Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and training initiatives.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
Prepare HR reports, maintain compliance documentation, and assist with audits.

Administrative & Accounting Support

Provide administrative support to the Accounting department on an as-needed basis (approximately 3 hours per week).
Assist with accounts payable by processing invoices and maintaining vendor files.
Prepare documentation for accounts receivable and billing.
Reconcile receipts, purchase orders, and supporting documentation.
Enter accounting and financial data accurately into company systems.
Support month-end reporting and special accounting projects.
Assist with daily bank and post office runs.
Welcome visitors and serve as the first point of contact by greeting guests and directing them appropriately.
Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
Previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or HR administration.
Experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, benefits, or payroll functions preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Accounting or administrative support experience is preferred but not required.
