Inside Sales Representative

Location: Austin, Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
Work Arrangement: 100% In-Office
Compensation: $45,000 base salary + 2% uncapped gross margin bonus

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, customer-focused, and motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our Austin team.

This position is responsible for managing and growing relationships with existing customers after our field sales representatives complete the initial sale. The Inside Sales Representative will serve as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring customers receive excellent service, orders are processed accurately, and accounts continue to reorder consistently.

This is a fast-paced position that requires strong attention to detail, professional communication, excellent follow-up skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service.

Management & Sales

Manage relationships with existing customer accounts after the initial sale.
Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and become a trusted point of contact.
Proactively follow up with customers to encourage consistent monthly reordering.
Identify opportunities to increase customer purchases and grow account revenue.
Follow up on sales leads generated through AI and other digital channels.
Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
Maintain consistent communication with assigned accounts.

Order Management

Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Review orders for accuracy, including products, quantities, pricing, and customer information.
Resolve order discrepancies and customer concerns promptly.
Coordinate with internal teams when issues require additional support.
Maintain accurate customer and order information.

Customer Service

Respond to customer questions through phone, email, and digital platforms.
Provide professional and timely communication to customers.
Manage customer concerns while maintaining a positive and solutions-oriented approach.
Provide customer service support for our digital wholesale platform.
Document customer interactions and follow-up activities as required.

Organization & Follow-Up

Manage multiple customer accounts and competing priorities.
Maintain organized follow-up schedules.
Monitor customer ordering patterns and identify accounts requiring additional outreach.
Prioritize urgent customer needs while maintaining productivity across assigned accounts.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, resilient, detail-oriented, and comfortable with sales and customer relationship management.

Required Qualifications

Previous experience in inside sales, account management, customer service, or a related customer-facing role.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent professional email etiquette.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
Ability to remain professional and productive in a high-pressure environment.
Strong customer-service mindset.
Comfortable working with computers, email, and digital platforms.
Ability to work 100% in-office in Austin, Texas, Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM–5:30 PM.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in foodservice, food distribution, wholesale, hospitality, or a related industry.
Previous experience managing a book of business or recurring customer accounts.
Experience with order-entry, CRM, ERP, or sales management systems.
Experience working with restaurant or foodservice customers.
Experience in an inside sales environment.
Experience working with digital or AI-generated sales leads.

Compensation

$45,000 annual base salary + 2% uncapped gross margin bonus.

Performance expectations will be clearly established during onboarding, and performance will be evaluated during the initial employment period.

Important Schedule Requirement

This position is 100% in-office and requires availability Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM at our Austin, Texas location.

Candidates should be comfortable with the daily commute and able to consistently meet the required schedule.
