Description:

Summary:

The Hyatt Centric Chicago O'Hare is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Director of Finance to lead the financial operations of our full-service hotel, which includes a full-service restaurant. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and growth of a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hotel finance management, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all financial activities of the hotel, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Manage payroll processes ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing
Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payments and collections
Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize revenue and control costs
Monitor financial performance and prepare detailed reports for senior management
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and hotel policies
Collaborate with operational teams to support business objectives and improve financial performance
Mentor the hotel team on financial matters, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Proven experience in financial management within the hospitality industry, particularly in full-service hotels
Strong knowledge of payroll, AP/AR processes, and financial software systems (M3, ProfitSword)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
High level of integrity and attention to detail
