Full Job Description

Overview

NOBU, the world-renowned Japanese Restaurant, is hiring a Facilities Supervisor for its Houston location. This role plays a critical part in upholding Nobu’s standards of excellence by maintaining a clean, safe, and fully operational facility that supports both the guest experience and team performance.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Facilities Supervisor to lead our Back-of-House team. In this vital role, you will oversee the management and upkeep of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within our property.

Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance, repair, and preventative care of all restaurant facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
Schedule mechanical systems repair including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing, and other industrial systems.
Supervise and direct daily cleaning operations across all areas of the restaurant.
Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (ResQ) to manage, prioritize, and track work orders.
Coordinate with external vendors, including dishwashing equipment services, pest control, and other facilities-related providers.
Support receiving, inventory control, and ordering of maintenance and operational supplies.
Assist Culinary, Front of House (FOH), and Events teams with requisitions, furniture setup, and event preparation.

Required Skills/Qualifications

3 years of experience in Back-of-House/Facilities operations in hospitality industry
Facilities Management Degree/Technical Program Certificate preferred
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and safety management practices.
Basic computer proficiency, including email communication and system navigation.
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight projects.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8 hours or more).
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders and perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor repairs).
Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach as required.
Ability to move efficiently and safely throughout all areas of the restaurant.
