We are currently seeking a full time Assistant Wellness Director with flexibility in working all shifts from 7am-7pm. The ideal candidate must have the ability to lead and work well with others. Responsibilities:

Manage the staffing needs of the Assisted Living Community by interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising the Personal Care Assistant (PCA).
Manage the health care of all residents, including the dissemination of information to families, staff, physicians, and third-party providers.
Perform duties in accordance with established methods and techniques and in conformance with recognized standards.
Initiate resident negotiated service plans according to the individualized needs of the resident as prescribed by physician and/or community policy. Provide resident and family instruction. Where applicable, seeks input from the resident and family in the development of the negotiated service plan.
Perform ongoing assessments of residents’ physical and psycho-social needs and coordinates with other departments to assure proactive quality care.
Order medications and oversee the resident’s medication schedule for residents receiving medication administration services and assure that all medications prescribed are available by auditing the medication records and cart twice weekly and ensure proper documentation for medication assistance administration.
On call duties for staffing & scheduling and work as PCA when other PCA's are not available. Provide coverage of the position in cases of emergency to ensure medication assistance is provided.
Ensure all infection control guidelines are met.
Ensure the health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support residents with meal preparation and feeding.
Assist with administration of medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
Assist with lifting and transferring individuals who have mobility challenges.
Monitor and document changes in individuals' health status.
Maintain a clean and organized living environment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the elderly in an assisted living, skilled nursing or hospital environment preferred.
Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Medication Aide, Medical Assistant preferred.
Knowledge of first aid and CPR procedures.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procurement manuals, etc.
Basic typing skills along with a working knowledge of personal computing, healthcare management software, and word processing software.
Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to follow established systems and protocols for providing care.
Knowledge of Assisted Living regulations, medication administrating regulations, and occurrence reporting.

Please note that this position does not require a nursing degree or certification. However, experience or training in nursing or healthcare-related fields is a plus.
