Full Job Description

Volvo Cars of Austin is looking to expand our team with an additional salesperson at our Austin, Texas dealership. As a locally owned and operated dealership, we take pride in delivering exceptional service to our ever-growing customer base. This is a fantastic opportunity to represent and sell an outstanding lineup of luxury Volvo vehicles. Volvo Cars of Austin is one of the largest Volvo retailers in the United States, offering a prime environment for sales professionals with experience in volume sales to thrive.

Job duties of an Automotive Sales Consultant include:

Maintaining your daily work plan of customers to create and keep good relationships with clients
Engage with prospective customers via phone and email leads
Using product knowledge to demonstrate features and benefits of Volvo vehicles to prospective customers
Staying current on vehicle inventory, special promotions and incentives available to customers
Looking for upgrade opportunities for existing sales and service customers
Working with New, Certified and Finance Managers to ensure all necessary items are available for smooth customer transaction

Requirements for the Automotive Sales Consultant position:

3+ years New or Pre-Owned Automotive Sales experience
Experience in BDC, service lane sales, or data mining sales
Valid Driver’s License
Good driving record
Internet and Microsoft computer skills (Reynolds & Reynolds Focus CRM and AutomotiveMastermind a plus)
Excellent communication skills
Standing for extended periods and working outdoors are necessary at times for this position

This position is commission based and requires working a scheduled shift during the hours of Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 7:00 pm along with Saturdays 9:00 am to 7:00 pm (closed on Sundays plus a scheduled weekday off). Please note only applicants who meet required previous experience will be considered for this position.
