Full Job Description

Total Comfort Group is a leading nationwide provider of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and project management services. We specialize in servicing multi-site retail, restaurant, and commercial facilities throughout the United States.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. If you have experience with rooftop units, refrigeration systems, boilers, electrical controls, and preventative maintenance, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC/R equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and related HVAC systems
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
Identify equipment failures and recommend repair or replacement options
Complete service tickets and required documentation accurately and on time
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in a clean and organized manner
Follow all company policies and OSHA safety standards
Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and internal team members
Travel throughout the assigned service area as needed
Participate in an on-call rotation, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of commercial HVAC/R service experience
Graduate of an accredited HVAC technical or trade program preferred
Strong knowledge of:
Commercial HVAC systems (1–50 tons)
Commercial refrigeration equipment
Rooftop units (RTUs)
Boilers
Electrical systems and controls
Preventative maintenance
EPA Universal Certification (Required)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment schematics
Must provide personal hand tools, gauges, and meters
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently while managing daily service calls

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Frequently climb ladders and rooftops
Kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and work in confined spaces
Stand and walk for extended periods
Work safely in all weather conditions
Daily travel throughout the tri-state service region

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience servicing the following equipment are encouraged to apply:
