Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Hibachi Chef to join our vibrant culinary team! Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of hibachi-style dishes with precision, flair, and consistency, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, knives, spatulas, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
Demonstrate exceptional food handling skills, maintaining strict food safety and sanitizing procedures throughout all stages of food preparation
Engage with guests by performing entertaining cooking demonstrations on the hibachi grill, enhancing their dining experience
Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or modifications based on customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking station to meet health regulations and ensure smooth kitchen operations
Support food production for catering events or high-volume service periods while adhering to food safety management practices

Qualifications

Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant environments as a hibachi chef or similar culinary role
Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, sanitizing procedures, and safe food handling practices
Demonstrated expertise in grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques relevant to hibachi cuisine
Excellent knife skills with the ability to perform precise cuts quickly and safely under pressure
Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for high-volume production environments
Background in culinary arts or related training is preferred; dietary aide experience or dietary department experience is a plus
Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently while maintaining a focus on safety and sanitation standards
