Full Job Description

Field RN Nurse Supervisor

Accucare Nursing and Home Care Agency, having its corporate office located in Nanuet, New York, provides pediatric home care services, by delivering the highest quality of clinical care through its exemplary field nursing staff, is currently conducting a talent acquisition search for a qualified Nurse candidate to join our team of dedicated and passionate healthcare professionals, for the position of Field RN Nurse Supervisor, working in the Orange and Rockland counties service geographic areas.

This is a Hybrid position, with flexible work hours and scheduling as determined by this position’s Manager, which requires visits either to patient’s homes, at a school/on a school bus when applicable, and/or other service areas, for the purpose of evaluating Field Nurses on their shifts, as well as to complete clinical assessments of the patient(s). In addition, there will be occasional trips to the above noted Agency office in Nanuet.

Responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

Responsible for managing and coordinating care for assigned pediatric patients
Perform on-site supervisory visits to assess patients, families, environment, and nurses and complete and submit required documentation
Perform ongoing supervision, orientation, training, education, and evaluation of field nurses
Ensure nursing care is being performed in accordance with physician’s orders
Comply with agency policies and procedures, and NYS laws and regulations
Demonstrate and maintain a professional demeanor
Document all patient-directed activities in the patient record
Create and maintain nursing care plans for assigned cases
Update and maintain medication list per physicians’ orders for assigned cases
Perform care coordination for each case, communicating with parents, physicians, agency nurses, and agency administration to ensure optimal nursing care
Attend department meetings and report to Agency administration as necessary
Perform other administrative duties as required and/or assigned by Management

Position Classification and Compensation:

This a full-time salaried/non-exempt position, with a guaranteed compensation range of $50.00- $55.00/hour-annualized at $104,000.00-$115,000.00, commensurate with experience
Opportunity for a potential “Sign-On-Bonus” of $2,500.00, as will be determined at the discretion of Accucare’s Executive Management

Qualifications

Associate or BSN Degree which is preferred
Registered Nurse with active NYS License, required to be in good standing
Must have a Valid Driver’s License
It is mandatory that any Applicant must either own their vehicle, or have everyday access to a reliable privately owned vehicle that the Applicant has the legitimate right to drive themselves *NO EXCEPTIONS-The vehicle should be currently registered, and has in-force continuous minimum required NYS car insurance coverages. Documentation will be required to be presented to Accucare prior to an offer of employment being extended. This is needed for Applicant to be able to travel each and every day as assigned, within the Agency’s service areas as may be requested, including the above noted primary Orange and Rockland Counties locations, as well as to Accucare’” offices in Nanuet. This is a mandatory position requirement.
2+ years of clinical experience
Previous Clinical Supervisory experience is preferred
Home care and Pediatric nursing care experience is a plus
Other Skills/Capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and organization skills
Must be detailed oriented
Effective problem-solving, and the ability to address and perform conflict resolution is preferred
Knowledge and understanding of relevant compliance, with adherence to “NYS DOH” regulations.
Experience with seizure disorder, enteral feeds, tracheostomies, ventilators
Must always maintain and follow “Accucare’s confidentiality standards, as well as consistent adherence to “HIPPA” compliance and protocols
Physical Requirements
Must be able to navigate/climb stairs without any physical restrictions
Must have unimpaired visual and hearing acuity
Working Conditions
Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions
Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases
Other relevant and legally permissible medically related conditions
