Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Project Engineer/Manager to lead and oversee large-scale electrical construction projects from inception to completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex electrical systems, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality electrical solutions on time and within budget. Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical construction projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents for accuracy and compliance with electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards.
Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Manage project contracts, procurement processes, and subcontractor relationships to optimize cost efficiency and quality outcomes.
Oversee permitting phases, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained during the permitting phase involvement process.
Must be able to travel
Conduct construction site inspections, review progress against schedules, and resolve issues related to electrical systems installation and system design.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to facilitate seamless project coordination and communication.
Monitor project budgets closely using HeavyBid or comparable estimating tools; track costs throughout the construction process to prevent overruns.
Ensure all work complies with electrical codes such as NEC and NFPA 70, including NFPA 70E safety standards during construction activities.
Lead team efforts in construction scheduling, blueprint reading, schematic review, and construction drawing review for accuracy and clarity.
Manage project documentation diligently using Bluebeam or ProCore for efficient document control and communication.

Skills

Extensive experience with electrical engineering principles, system design, and blueprint reading specific to electrical systems.
Proficiency in project management software including Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), ProCore, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools.
Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques combined with cost management expertise.
Proven ability to manage large-scale electrical projects from initial planning through commissioning while maintaining strict adherence to schedules and budgets.
Deep understanding of electrical building codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and local permitting requirements.
Excellent leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams on construction sites; capable of fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
Skilled in construction scheduling coordination, contract management, construction management practices, and safety protocols.
Ability to read complex schematics and technical drawings accurately; experience reviewing construction drawings for compliance with specifications.
Strong time management skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments; adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
