Full Job Description

Job Title: Lead for Functional Learning Program

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Leader to develop and oversee our Functional Learning Center, providing students, with a dynamic and engaging experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children of varying learning levels and abilities, with a strong commitment to fostering their success and independence.

This role focuses on creating a positive and fun learning environment while developing and delivering a functional curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. The curriculum will encompass academics, independent daily living skills, and social skills.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement appropriate lessons that promote learning and the development of independence across ages and developmental levels.
Foster a fun, safe, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages cooperation and participation.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.
Assess student performance and adjust programs as needed to support growth.
Collaborate with support staff to enhance curriculum development and instructional strategies.
Supervise students during various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Maintain records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children in a similar educational setting that provides a wide variety of learning across ages and stages of development is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of curriculum development that meets diverse learning needs and abilities, particularly for children with Autism and related diagnoses.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a plus.
Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching children is essential for success in this role.
