Full Job Description

CNC Lathe Set Up Operator Minneapolis, MN Payrate: $25-$40 hourly

Shift Needed: 1st Shift 6:45am – 4pm Mon-Thurs. and 6:45am – 12pm on Fridays.

Benefits Offered: Employees are offered 6 paid holidays and will qualify for healthcare benefits

and 401k after 90 days of employment.

K Manufacturing is a growing manufacturer of machined and assembled components using the CNC
machine technologies including CNC, Mult turret Lathes, and Vertical Mills. We are an Equal Opportunity

Job Summary

Operate and maintain CNC equipment. As a CNC Lathe Set Up Operator, you will be responsible for

reading and interpreting technical blueprints and performing quality checks on the final product. You

may also be required to troubleshoot any machine issues that arise during the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities and Duties

Sets Up, edit programs, and run parts on CNC Lathes with Fanuc controls (G and M Code)

Reads and interprets technical drawings / Blueprints

Implements and maintains set up sheets for Manufacturing

Validates the NC code generated from the CNC program

Understanding of work holding

Collaborates with Engineering, set-up techs, and Machinists on new product Introduction and

continuous improvement activities

Troubleshoots and resolves programming and machining problems as they arise

Assists Engineering/ Manufacturing / Quoting as needed

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or GED.

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Set Up Operator, programming a plus

Ability to read and interpret design blueprints

Understanding of the different tooling types, speeds, and feeds

ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System

Ability to work independently and stick to a deadline

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, continuous mental and visual attention is needed. The ability to

stand for a shift, sit, talk and hear is frequently required. Lifting up to 40 pounds is required. The

temperature may vary, and personal protective equipment is required.
