Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist

Location: Skyway Animal Hospital – St. Petersburg, FL

Position Type: Full-Time, must have a minimum of 1 year experience working in Veterinary Medicine

Are you the friendly face everyone turns to when they need help? Do you have a passion for animals (and maybe a soft spot for cats who think they’re royalty)? If so, Skyway Animal Hospital is looking for YOU to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist!

About Us: We’re a fun, caring team that specializes in keeping pets healthy and happy. From cuddly puppies to wise old cats, our patients are treated like family. We’re not just a vet clinic – we’re a place where pets and people feel right at home. We’re seeking someone who’s as passionate about providing exceptional service as we are about making every visit a positive experience!

What You'll Be Doing:

Greeting Guests with a Smile: Whether it's a dog in a bowtie or a nervous kitty, you’ll be the first point of contact for pets and their owners, making them feel welcome and cared for.
Answering Calls & Booking Appointments: Manage our busy phone lines with grace, scheduling appointments and answering questions with a helpful, friendly attitude.
Managing Pet Records: Ensure our furry friends’ medical histories are up to date and organized with precision.
Customer Service Extraordinaire: Offer assistance, answer questions, and contribute to providing an exceptional experience for our patients and their humans (with a big smile, of course!).
Team Collaboration: Work alongside our amazing Techs and Doctors to ensure everything runs smoothly. We’re a tight-knit group and teamwork makes the dream work!
Cleaning - We take pride in a squeaky clean work environment for us and our patients. We see dogs and cats, but no dust bunnies allowed!

What We’re Looking For:

Experience in Veterinary Medicine: must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in a Veterinary clinic/hospital.
Friendly and Compassionate Personality: You’ll be the first person clients meet, so a warm, approachable attitude is key!
Multitasking Skills: You’ll juggle phones, appointments, and lots of wagging tails, all with ease.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using computers, booking software, and maybe even a little digital pet-themed fun.
A Love of Animals: From dogs, to cats, to their parents, we need someone who understands that each pet has a personality, and every pet parent wants the best care for their little one.
Excellent Communication: Both with people and pets (you’ll quickly learn to understand “dog” and “cat” language).
Problem Solver: You’re a solutions oriented person when it comes to challenges. No complaining here.
