Health Center Receptionist Coordinator | St. Petersburg, FL

About the Role

The Front Office Coordinator manages front office operations across all Metro Healthy Communities locations, overseeing data entry, scheduling, and reception functions in our eClinicalWorks EHR for Medical, Behavioral Health, and Psych Services. This role ensures a seamless patient experience, from check-in through billing, while providing leadership and oversight to front office staff across our primary care, behavioral health, and psych FQHC-Look-Alike setting with specialized sexual health and LGBTQ+ care.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure provider schedules and patient appointments align with health center needs and maintain accurate scheduling templates
Provide direct oversight of front office leads and staff, including coaching, feedback, and workflow management
Monitor department metrics and productivity to meet health center goals
Maintain accurate data entry in eClinicalWorks, auditing daily to minimize errors
Compile and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and annual statistical reports to management
Maintain departmental records, filing systems, and adequate office supply levels
Collaborate with senior management to implement and maintain policies and procedures
Serve as a communication liaison between front office staff, providers, and outside contacts

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
Minimum 2–3 years of management experience, preferably in healthcare
5 years of experience in front desk and scheduling management
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently and research/analyze data
Valid Florida driver's license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation
Must pass Level II background check, fingerprinting, and E-Verify employment eligibility
