Full Job Description

Job Overview

The Pre-K Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Pre-K grant program to ensure compliance with grant requirements and the delivery of high-quality early childhood education services. This position provides leadership in program implementation, curriculum coordination, family engagement, student progress monitoring, teacher support, behavioral interventions, and individualized instruction to promote positive outcomes for all children.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Grant Compliance and Program Management

Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local grant requirements, policies, and regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation and records required by the grant.
Monitor program implementation to ensure all grant objectives, benchmarks, and deliverables are met.
Prepare and submit required reports, data, and supporting documentation in a timely manner.
Coordinate audits, monitoring visits, and compliance reviews as required.

Classroom and Curriculum Coordination

Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and instructional practices.
Monitor classroom quality and support adherence to early childhood program standards.
Coordinate curriculum planning, classroom resources, and instructional materials.
Support teachers in implementing effective teaching strategies and classroom management practices.

Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring

Oversee assessment, tracking, and reporting of student progress and developmental outcomes.
Maintain accurate student records and data management systems.
Analyze assessment data to identify trends, inform instruction, and support continuous program improvement.
Ensure timely completion of progress reports and required grant reporting measures.

Individualization and Behavioral Support

Provide guidance to teachers on individualized learning plans and differentiated instruction.
Serve as a behavioral support specialist by assisting with the development and implementation of positive behavior intervention strategies.
Collaborate with families, teachers, and support service providers to address student needs.
Support inclusion practices and ensure all children receive appropriate accommodations and interventions.

Teacher Support and Professional Development

Mentor and support teaching staff to improve instructional quality and student outcomes.
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
Assist with professional development planning and training opportunities.
Promote best practices in early childhood education and child development.

Documentation and Quality Assurance

Complete classroom monitoring checklists and maintain anecdotal notes documenting observations, student progress, and program quality indicators.
Review program data to ensure quality standards are met and maintained.
Develop action plans to address identified areas for improvement.

Family Engagement and Community Outreach

Plan, organize, and facilitate family engagement activities and events throughout the year.
Develop and coordinate home connection projects that strengthen family involvement in children's learning.
Foster positive relationships with families and encourage active participation in the educational process.
Connect families with community resources and support services as appropriate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience managing early childhood education programs and/or grant-funded programs preferred.
Knowledge of early childhood curriculum, assessment practices, and child development.
Experience with data collection, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Experience working with diverse families and community partners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Thorough understanding of grant compliance and reporting requirements.
Strong leadership and coaching skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency with data management systems, Microsoft Office applications, and student information systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community stakeholders.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
