About Builders Fence: Builders Fence is a premier distributor of fence materials and manufacturer of custom iron and vinyl, serving clients across the West Coast. With a commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, we have established ourselves as a leader in the industry over the past 67 years.

Job Description: As a Branch Manager at Builders Fence, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our El Cajon branch. You will oversee various aspects of our business operations, including sales, yard management, warehouse operations, inventory control, transfers, receiving, and quality control.

Responsibilities:

1. Yard and Warehouse Management:

Supervise yard and warehouse activities, including loading/unloading, storage, and organization of materials.
Ensure the efficient utilization of space and resources to optimize operations.
Implement safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
Manage maintenance of Forklifts, Trucks and branch facilities.

2. Inventory Control:

Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
Coordinate with purchasing to replenish stock and minimize stockouts.
Implement measures to improve inventory turnover.

3. Transfers and Receiving:

Oversee the timely processing of transfers between branches and warehouses.
Verify the accuracy and condition of received and outgoing materials.

4. Customer Service:

Ensure that the customers are receiving their materials correctly, on-time and with excellent service.
Work with the Credit Department to make sure customer orders are being released and the customers are paying in a timely manner.

5. ERP:

Be responsible for:

All orders getting invoiced and paid.
All credits being processed correctly and quickly
Open orders and backorders getting closed in a timely manner

Requirements:

Proven experience in a managerial role (within the construction materials industry is preferred).
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficient in inventory management and logistics processes.
Knowledge of fence materials is extremely advantageous.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to upholding safety standards and promoting a culture of safety.
