Job Title: Shelter Site Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90014
Salary: $26.58 – $31.90 per hour
Driving Required: Yes
Housing Requirement: This position requires the employee to live on-site.

About the Opportunity

A mission-driven housing organization is seeking a Site Manager to oversee daily operations at a residential property in Los Angeles. This role is ideal for someone passionate about community impact, housing stability, and property management.

Position Summary

The Site Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the property. This includes property management functions, tenant relations, rent collection, compliance, financial oversight, vendor coordination, and maintenance oversight.

The Site Manager works closely with on-site staff and external partners to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and supportive residential community.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee property operations, occupancy, and resident management.
Interview prospective residents and coordinate move-ins.
Collect rent and maintain accurate occupancy and financial records.
Maintain compliance with housing regulations and prepare documentation for audits.
Manage tenant relations and build positive relationships within the community.
Coordinate vendors, contractors, and property services.
Ensure the building and grounds are properly maintained.
Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
Monitor property financial performance and assist with budgeting and financial tracking.
Review and approve invoices and submit them for processing.
Maintain accurate records in property management systems and tenant files.
Coordinate resident meetings, community events, and staff functions.
Enforce property rules, policies, and lease agreements.
Issue notices (including 3-day, 10-day, and 30-day notices) and coordinate eviction processes when necessary.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and housing guidelines.
Develop emergency and disaster response plans for the property.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience as a Property Manager at a multi-family housing property.
Experience with affordable housing or permanent supportive housing preferred.

Mandatory Requirements

All candidates must be able to:

Verify employment eligibility
Obtain CPR/First Aid certification
Successfully complete the following as a condition of hire:
Tuberculosis (TB) Test
Background Screening
Drug Test

Driving Requirements

Driving is an essential function of this position. Candidates must:

Have reliable transportation
Possess a valid driver’s license
Maintain proof of insurance and vehicle ownership if using a personal vehicle for work duties
Be able to qualify for the organization’s insurance coverage
