Ready for your next big career move? Kelly® is looking for an HR Business Partner to join a well-respected supermarket organization in San Jose, CA. If you're seeking a role where you can use your HR expertise and drive positive change, this is your opportunity.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 per year

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on business needs)

What’s a typical day as HR Business Partner? You’ll be:

Acting as the primary HR contact for store leadership and staff
Managing employee relations, conducting investigations, and resolving workplace issues
Leading recruitment and onboarding for hourly and exempt positions
Advising managers on performance management and corrective actions
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
Administering employee benefits, payroll, and leave management
Handling Workers’ Compensation, promoting safety, and coordinating return-to-work programs
Supporting and delivering training, maintaining accurate HR records, and preparing HR reports

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

Hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (required)
Bilingual in English and Cantonese, Mandarin, or Spanish
Have at least 5 years of hands-on HR experience in California in high-volume environments (retail, supermarket, restaurants, manufacturing, warehouse)
Possess strong knowledge of Federal, California, and local labor laws
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and use discretion in HR matters
Have experience managing Workers’ Compensation and conducting employee investigations
Are highly organized, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement
Are proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Are well versed in California HR labor laws
PHR-CA certification is a plus
