Full Job Description

We are seeking a Medical Data Entry Specialist to support the documentation, data entry, and management of clinical research studies. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to accurately manage clinical research data while ensuring compliance with study protocols and institutional requirements. This role works closely with Clinical Research Coordinators, investigators, and research teams to support efficient clinical trial operations and maintain high standards of data quality.

Responsibilities

Accurately collect, review, validate, and enter clinical research data into study databases.
Review medical records, source documents, laboratory reports, and study documentation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Support Clinical Research Coordinators by preparing, organizing, and maintaining study documentation and research files.
Assist with resolving routine data discrepancies and responding to sponsor or monitor data queries.
Maintain complete, organized, and compliant electronic and paper study documentation.
Perform quality control reviews to ensure data integrity and protocol compliance.
Assist in preparing documentation for monitoring visits, audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
Maintain confidentiality of participant information and comply with applicable privacy and institutional policies.
Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators, investigators, sponsors, study monitors, and other research personnel to support study activities.
Track data entry timelines and ensure study information is entered accurately and within required deadlines.
Support the maintenance of study logs, tracking tools, and research databases.
Perform other data management and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Previous experience in medical data entry, healthcare, clinical research, or an administrative role is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) or Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
