Full Job Description

Title: Inventory Area Manager

Location: On-site located in San Marcos, TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday + Peak Flex

Description: Manifest.eco is a purpose-driven third-party logistics (3PL) company based in Austin, Texas. We are redefining eCommerce fulfillment at the intersection of sustainability, technology, and operational excellence -- offering eco-friendly logistics solutions for our clients, AI-powered QA systems, and pioneering Third Wave Fulfillment.

Our team operates out of a high-velocity fulfillment center where data integrity, process discipline, and a people-first culture are how we run the building every day.

The role: The Inventory Area Manager owns the accuracy, integrity, and reporting of inventory across all client accounts in our fulfillment center. You'll report directly to the Sr. Operations Manager and serve as the connective data layer between warehouse operations, Account Management, and leadership. If you run toward discrepancies, build systems that prevent them, and let data drive your decisions, this role is for you.

What you’ll do:

What You'll Do
Assist Operations Leadership in assessing inventory inaccuracies and recommending corrective action in support of continuous improvement
Own 99%+ inventory record accuracy across all client SKUs and storage locations in ShipHero WMS
Design and execute daily, weekly, and monthly cycle count programs; investigate variances and drive corrective action through root cause analysis
Manage inbound receiving discrepancies — document, escalate, and resolve PO vs. physical count variances with the Inbound team
Develop SKU-level velocity reports to support slotting optimization and storage efficiency
Leverage Google Sheets to build dynamic dashboards and tracking tools that surface insights proactively
Partner with Account Managers to flag low-stock, overstock, and aging inventory before SLAs are impacted
Support client onboarding from an inventory data setup perspective — SKU mapping, initial counts, and system validation
Lead quarterly physical inventory audits and present reconciliation findings to leadership
Develop and maintain inventory SOPs; ensure associates are trained and equipped to execute accurately
Ensure a safe, clean, and organized inventory environment consistent with Manifest's operational standards

What you'll need:

3+ years in inventory management, fulfillment, or warehouse operations, preferably in a 3PL or multi-client environment
Proficiency in ShipHero WMS, our system of record and operational backbone
Google Sheets skills: PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, dynamic dashboards, and data validation. You build your own tools
Demonstrated ability to generate, interpret, and act on operational data reports
Strong root cause analysis instincts. You chase discrepancies, not just log them
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting data to leadership and client teams
Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak periods, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent demonstrated experience)

Strongly Preferred:

Experience with Retailer Routing Guides
Experience with data visualization or reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar)
SQL or data query experience
