Full Job Description

I am a private internal medicine physician that has 2 nursing facilities in Oakland and 1 in Alameda and am looking for an NP to see patients at all 3 facilities. The job would be either 1 facility on 3 separate days or you could see 2 facilities in one day and the third on a second day so you only work 2 days per week, its up to you.

The nursing facilities have many acute patients so the level of expertise would require some hospital, ER, or urgent care experience. If you have never worked in nursing facilities before, hospital or ER experience would definitely suffice. The job also entails a fair amount of psychiatric patients and experience with drug and alcohol addiction is a plus.

As mentioned it would be 2 or 3 days a week, it is up to you how you do it. I need 3 facility visits per week from you in either 2 or 3 days. If you choose 2 days , you would need to visit 2 facilities in one day - that would be a fairly intense day, but its easily done.

The pay is what you bill, I take nothing from you. Its all yours, you see the patient and you bill them directly and the reimbursement goes straight to your account. So, it is a great plus if you have experience in billing and being an independent contractor. You are fee for service so the maximum income could be quite high if you wanted to see that many patients. I would say a good day is 18-22 patients in a day at average of 60 dollars a visit. History and Physical pays a lot more. This is a part time, flexible position 2-3 days per week, your own hours, complete independence.

Pay: $1,200.00 per day
