Accounting Clerk/Office Assistant

Location: Sanford, FL (On-Site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented person with accounts payable and accounts receivable experience to join our team in Sanford, FL. This role is responsible for accounts payable and other supporting administrative functions. The ideal candidate has experience in QuickBooks and has worked in an office setting in accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities:

Process timely and accurate vendor payments.
Verify necessary documentation and research any discrepancies while performing the accounts payable or accounts receivable duties.
Maintain and update records related to vendor registration within the department.
Assist with other administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and customer support.
Answer the phone when necessary.
Make car rental reservations for staff when requested.
Assist with the mail
Help oversee the distribution of dealer tags, gas cards and transponders.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in accounts payable.
A strong professional work ethic.
Able to work alone or within a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipment.
