Full Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with inquiries
- Maintain patient records and update information in the electronic medical records system (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix)
- Verify insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or specialists
- Assist with medical scheduling and ensure appointments are properly managed
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area

-Audit, review, and balance patient ledgers to ensure accurate posting of charges, payments, adjustments, and account balances

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working at a front desk, preferably in a medical office setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Knowledge of medical billing processes is a plus
