Cooks, Prep Cooks, Garde Manger, Dishwashers of all experience levels.

Pre-Requisites to Accepting the Position

Valid driver’s license
Health Card
Own a vehicle
Pass a drug test, background check, and medical screening

Preferences/Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent required
2+ years experience in a commercial kitchen
Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills
Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed and attention to detail
Ability to read and follow recipes
Versatility between BOH and FOH
Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to work well under pressure
Being able to lift 30+ lbs.

Job Description

Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipes
Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range
Assist with cleanliness of all kitchen operations
Ensure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth delivery
Set up and clean station according to food service protocol
Maintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves
Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
Heating up food and transporting it to events
Cooking at events in front of guests following precise instructions
Helping to set up and tear down food station equipment
