The Bradenton Christian School Human Resources Coordinator will faithfully support Bradenton Christian School’s mission statement to prepare the hearts and minds of God’s covenantal children in partnership with the home and church for service in God’s world. It is the Coordinator’s responsibility to carry out the policies of the School Board as they relate to the function of the school and to their association with faculty, staff, students, and parents.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator provides HR support through the processing, maintenance, tracking, and coordination of day-to-day employee lifecycle activities. The position is responsible for carrying out established processes related to recruitment and pre-employment, new hire onboarding and reboarding, seasonal employees and volunteers, employee records and compliance, general payroll and benefits questions , and employee separation and offboarding.

Duties and Responsibilities
RECRUITMENT AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT COORDINATION
- Posts and maintains approved positions on appropriate targeted recruitment websites and platforms.
- Collects and ensures all required candidate and pre-employment information and documentation are complete and maintained in the candidate/new hire file.
- Maintains accurate candidate information and documentation and ensures required pre-employment requirements are completed in accordance with established processes.
NEW HIRE ONBOARDING AND REBOARDING
- Coordinates the onboarding and reboarding process from offer acceptance or rehire through employee activation.
- Coordinates required documentation, training, policies, acknowledgments, screenings, employment eligibility, clearances, and other onboarding requirements.
- Determines applicable onboarding and rescreening requirements for returning and rehired employees.
- Establishes and maintains accurate employee information and documentation within applicable HR and onboarding systems.
- Monitors onboarding progress and follows up on outstanding requirements.
- Coordinates employee system setup, day-one logistics, and transition from onboarding to active employee status.
- Coordinates benefits enrollment requirements for eligible employees.
SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS, SEASONAL EMPLOYEES, VOLUNTEERS, VENDORS, AND CONTRACTORS
- Coordinates onboarding and reboarding for substitute teachers, seasonal employees, and volunteers.
- Ensures applicable documentation, screening, training, authorization, and compliance requirements are completed prior to service.
- Determines applicable screening and rescreening requirements for returning seasonal employees and volunteers.
- Ensures vendors and contractors with student or campus access meet applicable screening, documentation, and authorization requirements before beginning work.
- Maintains required records and monitors completion of onboarding requirements within applicable systems.
- Coordinates applicable end-of-season or end-of-service processes.
EMPLOYEE RECORDS, TRAINING, AND COMPLIANCE
- Maintains accurate, complete, and confidential employee and applicable volunteer records.
- Coordinates distribution, tracking, and completion of required training, policies, forms, and compliance documentation.
- Monitors recurring compliance, screening, and training requirements.
- Identifies and follows up on incomplete or outstanding document completion requirements.
- Ensures employee information and required documentation are accurately maintained across applicable HR systems.
PAYROLL AND BENEFITS COORDINATION
- Maintains day-to-day employee information and changes in the HR/payroll system that impact payroll, including new hires, compensation changes, status changes, leave, and employment separation.
- Coordinates with Payroll regarding employee changes that affect payroll, ensuring updates are accurate and communicated within established timelines.
- Serves as the HR liaison with the benefits service provider and coordinates with Payroll to address employee changes affecting benefits eligibility, enrollment, and termination.
- Monitors benefit-related employee actions and follows up with employees or the benefits provider as needed to ensure information is accurate and current.
- Maintains appropriate documentation and records related to employee payroll and benefits changes.
EMPLOYEE SEPARATION AND OFFBOARDING
- Coordinates the administrative offboarding process for resignations, terminations, retirements, seasonal completions, and other separations.
- Coordinates required separation documentation and exit surveys, when applicable.
- Communicates separation information and coordinates final payroll, benefits, system access, and other required actions with applicable departments and service providers.
- Coordinates return of school property and other organizational assets.
- Maintains accurate separation information across applicable systems and ensures all applicable offboarding requirements are completed and documented.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A clearly articulated testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior along with weekly in-person attendance in a Christian church.
- A clear understanding of and support for covenantal Christian education along with a desire to lead students in the development of a Christian worldview.
- Demonstrates spiritual maturity and a growing commitment to the Christian faith.
- Minimum of two years of experience in HR support, employee onboarding, HR administration, recruiting coordination, employee records, compliance support, or a related field.
- Associate’s degree in Business, or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and employee lifecycle processes simultaneously.
- Proficiency with HR, payroll, onboarding, benefits, and related systems, with the ability to learn and manage multiple systems effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide professional and responsive service to employees, candidates, volunteers, leadership, and internal partners.
- Demonstrated ability to independently and collaboratively manage responsibilities, monitor outstanding requirements, and ensure timely follow-through.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee, candidate, volunteer, compensation, benefits, screening, and personnel information.
- Ability to maintain accurate and secure records and follow organizational policies, procedures, and applicable employment requirements.
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence, stewardship, service, and the organization’s core values.
