Job Title: Aging Specialist – Collections

Job Description:

Patients First Home Care is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Collections - Aging Specialist to join our Home Health Care team. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing aged accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding claims and patient balances, and collaborating across departments to resolve billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage aging accounts receivable for Home Health Care services.
Conduct timely follow-up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
Collaborate with billing, intake, and clinical teams to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure adherence to Medicare and private insurance billing guidelines.
Utilize EMR systems and payer portals (e.g., Innovalon, Availity, Kinnser) for insurance claim management.
Generate and present regular reports on aging trends and collection performance.
Assist with appeals and denial management as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections, preferably in Home Health or Hospice settings.
Strong understanding of payer guidelines, billing regulations, and aging reports.
Proficiency in using EMR systems and billing software.
Experience with insurance portals such as Innovalon, Availity, and Kinnser.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Current Driver's License with current auto insurance
CEU on Elderly Abuse, Human Trafficking and Alzheimer's/Dementia
Proficient in Microsoft Teams, especially Excell spreadsheets
