Accounting Portfolio Specialist

The Opportunity

Access Management Group is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounting Portfolio Specialist to join our growing team.

This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, managing multiple priorities, and serving as a trusted resource for both internal teams and community partners. The Accounting Portfolio Specialist will support a portfolio of homeowner and condominium associations by performing a variety of accounting and administrative functions that ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and exceptional service.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, technology-savvy, and capable of managing responsibilities independently while thriving in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the accounting and administrative needs for a portfolio of approximately 60–75 community associations.
Perform and review monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
Review and approve accounts payable transactions in accordance with established procedures.
Research, analyze, and resolve accounting discrepancies and administrative issues.
Prepare and process financial statement adjustments and general ledger corrections.
Maintain accurate accounting records and support financial reporting processes.
Collaborate with community managers, board members, vendors, and homeowners to resolve account-related inquiries.
Prioritize tasks effectively while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to operational excellence.
Maintain a professional and service-oriented approach in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, administrative accounting, or related experience.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in property management, homeowner association (HOA), condominium association, or portfolio accounting environments.
Experience with accounting software and financial reporting systems.
