Operations Manager: Sound Security Group

Pay: $82,500 base, plus quarterly performance bonus and additional earning potential
Location: Puget Sound Region, Seattle-Bellevue area strongly preferred. Works from home with regular travel to accounts and job sites.
Type: Full-time

Run the operations of a growing local security company, alongside the owner.

Sound Security Group is a local, independently owned security company serving the Puget Sound region. We compete on quality, training, and accountability, not on being the cheapest. We're building toward the next stage of growth, and we're looking for an Operations Manager to help us get there.

You'd work directly with the owner, a 12-year law enforcement veteran who built this company. This is a close, high-trust partnership. You run the day-to-day with full ownership, and together you build the operation into something much bigger.

This is the person who owns coverage, hiring, training, and the client relationships that keep our accounts loyal. If you've run security operations before and you're the kind of person others can set their watch by, this is the role for you.

You've done this before. You've run security operations, and you bring expertise in recruiting, training, and scheduling that makes our service better as we scale. Specifically, you are:

What you'll own

100% coverage of all contracted shifts, with the schedule built and filled ahead of time
The full hiring pipeline: recruiting, screening, onboarding, and training
Client relationships and account satisfaction across our sites
Team leadership, accountability, and development
Payroll review and approval, plus weekly and monthly metrics that give the owner clear visibility into the operation
The systems and processes that keep operations running as we grow
Supporting business growth, including a bonus for self-generated new accounts

This role is on call twenty four seven. Security doesn't keep business hours, and neither does this role. You also work from home and plan your own schedule. You're the backstop for shift shortages, which means stepping in to cover open shifts yourself when needed, with additional pay for qualifying fill-in hours.

Requirements

Prior experience running security operations
At least one year of supervisory experience
DOL Security Guard License and Trainer Certification, or the ability to obtain both
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to commute across the Puget Sound region
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening

Compensation and benefits

$82,500 base salary, reviewed annually
Quarterly performance bonus tied to shift coverage and keeping overtime low
One-time bonus for self-generated new business
Paid vacation and sick time
Company credit card for approved purchases, mileage stipend, and annual equipment stipend
