Maverick Molding Company is recognized globally as a leading expert in high-temperature polyimide composites. Maverick Molding focuses on delivering the highest temperature and best-performing polyimide products in the market.

The schedule for this position is 2nd shift.

Overview

The Quality Technician supports our manufacturing operations by performing inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure that all aerospace components meet internal specifications and customer/industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).

This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency with measurement tools, and the ability to identify nonconformities in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsabilities

Include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Perform in-process, first-article, and final inspections on aerospace components using precision measurement tools.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
Conduct dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs (if applicable), and other metrology equipment.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records in accordance with AS9100 requirements.
Identify nonconforming material and support the MRB (Material Review Board) process.
Assist with root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
Conduct visual inspections following aerospace standards (surface finish, defects, FOD prevention, etc.).
Participate in internal audits, process verifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns quickly and effectively.
Support calibration efforts for measurement devices.
Follow all safety, compliance, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
2+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing (preferred).
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints.
Experience with basic and advanced metrology tools; CMM experience is a plus.
Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and industry-specific quality standards.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer skills; experience with ERP/MES or quality software is an advantage.
