Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to lead our culinary team with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality, safety, and service. Your leadership will inspire creativity, maintain high standards of hygiene, and drive the success of our food offerings across various dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape our culinary vision while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.

Duties

Lead and manage all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and support personnel, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to cultivate a motivated team.
Oversee menu planning and development, incorporating innovative dishes while considering dietary restrictions and customer preferences.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment.
Manage inventory control and food production processes to minimize waste, optimize costs, and ensure timely availability of ingredients for daily operations.
Coordinate catering events and banquet services by overseeing food setup, presentation, and service execution to deliver memorable guest experiences.
Implement cost control measures and monitor budget performance related to food costs, labor, and supplies to maximize operational efficiency.

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments.
Proven supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in fast-paced settings.
Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
Skilled in inventory management, cost control, and food production processes.
Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and staff development.
Experience in menu planning for diverse dietary needs including catering and banquet services.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Familiarity with restaurant management systems and inventory control tools within the food industry.
