Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) lathes to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the highest quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes and work with advanced equipment such as Fanuc controls and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

Set up CNC lathes by installing tooling, fixtures, and selecting appropriate parameters based on blueprints and technical specifications.
Operate CNC turning machines with precision, ensuring parts meet strict tolerances using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
Read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings to produce accurate components.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshoot issues promptly, and document machine performance.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling to support machining processes and assembly tasks as needed.
Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in production.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC lathes or CNC milling machines with familiarity of Fanuc controls or similar systems.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances required for machining tasks.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to machining operations and the use of hand tools or power tools.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials or equipment safely.
We are making firearm and NFA regulated components. You must have a clean record with no felonies.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
