Technical Account Manager

Own the Client Relationship - Drive Execution - Plating & Precision Manufacturing

About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic, sharp, and personable Technical Account Manager to be the face of our company to one of our most important clients. This is a heavy client-interaction role at the intersection of relationship management and flawless execution. You’ll own the client relationship day to day, keep complex projects on track, and make sure every commitment we make is a commitment we keep.

Here’s what matters most to us: we care more about who you are than what you already know. If you’re a great communicator, an outstanding project manager, and the kind of person clients instinctively trust, we can teach you the technical side. Our work involves plating and precision manufacturing for demanding, high-precision industries, and you’ll need to be smart enough to learn our processes and speak to them credibly with the client. But you do not need to arrive as a plating expert — you need the intelligence and curiosity to become fluent, and the polish to represent us well while you do.

Personality and execution first, technical second. If you’ve managed demanding client relationships and driven projects to the finish line in any technical or high-standards field — manufacturing, engineering services, aerospace, medical, semiconductor, or similar — and you learn fast, we want to talk. We’ll teach you the plating.

What You’ll Do

Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted partner for a key client account
Own the relationship: stay close, communicate proactively, and keep client satisfaction and confidence high
Drive execution across the business — track project timelines, delivery schedules, and priorities, and keep everything moving
Coordinate production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure orders are executed accurately and on time
Learn our plating and manufacturing processes well enough to discuss requirements, specifications, and quality standards fluently with the client
Translate client technical requirements into clear direction for internal teams, and translate internal realities back to the client
Address and resolve client concerns quickly, including quality issues and corrective actions, and keep the client informed throughout
Support quoting and feasibility discussions, coordinating with internal experts on cost and scope
Track key account metrics and keep leadership informed on account health and opportunities
Make confident decisions on the majority of day-to-day issues, and know when to bring select high-stakes matters to our GM or CTO

Decision-Making & Support

This is an empowered role. We want someone who can own the account and make sound calls on most issues without waiting for permission — that decisiveness is a big part of why the client will trust you. At the same time, you won’t be on an island. Our GM and CTO are your partners for the select, higher-stakes decisions where their input matters, so you always have the technical and strategic backing you need to represent us well.

The Technical Side (You’ll Grow Into It)

For context on the work: we do plating and precision surface finishing for clients with exacting standards, where quality, tolerances, and consistency truly matter. Over time you’ll build working familiarity with our plating processes, how parts move through the shop, quality systems and specifications, and how to read the requirements that come with high-precision manufacturing. Our engineers and floor leaders own the deep technical expertise — your job is to understand enough to manage the account with confidence and speak the client’s language, not to run the chemistry yourself.

Experience managing client, customer, or account relationships in a technical or high-standards environment
Calm, resourceful problem-solver who stays composed when issues arise

Nice to Have (Not Required)

Background in manufacturing, machining, plating, surface finishing, or aerospace/defense/semiconductor/medical
Familiarity with quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) or reading engineering drawings and specifications
Exposure to GD&T, nonconformance/corrective actions (NCR/CAPA), or ERP/CRM systems
A technical or engineering-related education

Work Environment

A blend of office work, shop-floor collaboration, and direct client interaction
Frequent coordination with production and quality teams
Periodic client visits, reviews, and audits

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary of $120,000 to $150,000, based on experience — with flexibility for an exceptional candidate
