Stevens Construction, founded in 1919, and Eddie Painton and Associates, started in 1915, merged in 1970 to form STEVENS Painton Corporation.

Over the years, STEVENS has evolved from a highway bridge builder, excavation contractor to a significant player in wastewater treatment plants to heavy industrial construction.

In 1991, the company added CDMG, a multi-disciplined engineering firm that provides custom industrial design solutions to companies throughout the country.

We provide service to our clients throughout the surrounding areas of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, and Michigan.

STEVENS specializes in heavy rigging, civil concrete, earthwork, demolition, and excavation. We also have expertise in structural steel erection, mechanical equipment setting and alignment, construction management, and plant maintenance, including shutdown and turnaround services.

As a sole-source provider of design/build services, we have effectively merged outstanding technical, engineering, construction, and management expertise to better enable our clients, large and small, to overcome their most challenging project obstacles.

Project Administrator

Stevens Engineers & Constructors has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Project Administrator to join our Hobart Operations Team. This individual will be responsible for performing support activities both clerical and technical in nature as required to assist the Project Team. The ideal candidate will be client focused and will work well independently and as part of the Project Team.

This is a perfect opportunity to join an experienced group of professionals that are committed to providing our customers with quality project results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide administrative support for the Project Manager and Project Team.

Assists in the preparation of the weekly union payroll.

Order office supplies for the project site.

Setup and maintain both electronic and hard copy files.

Tracking change orders, RFI’s and submittal packages.

Scan and copy documents.

Preparation of correspondences, presentations, documents, manuals, information packages and/or reports.

Perform daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the Project Team.

Handle requests for information and/or documents for the Project Team as required.

Assist with special projects.

Other activities may be required to be performed as needed.

Required Skills

Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information.

Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently.

Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.

Must have proficient computer skills Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and become familiar with “Viewpoint” construction management software.
