Maintenance Records Coordinator

Capital Air Express / Base Leg Maintenance
Peachtree City, GA
Full-Time | Monday–Friday

About Us:

Capital Air Express is a growing Part 135 charter operator based in Peachtree City, Georgia. Alongside our sister company, Base Leg Maintenance, we operate and maintain a fleet of piston and turbine aircraft with an uncompromising commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

We're looking for someone who enjoys creating order from complexity. If spreadsheets, organization, and keeping meticulous records are your strengths, this role may be an excellent fit.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Records Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate aircraft maintenance records and ensuring all inspections, maintenance events, Airworthiness Directives (ADs), service bulletins, and component times are properly documented and tracked.

This position plays a critical role in keeping our aircraft compliant with FAA regulations and ensuring maintenance personnel always have accurate, up-to-date information available.

Previous aviation maintenance records experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train an exceptionally organized candidate with strong administrative skills and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Maintain complete and accurate aircraft maintenance records
Update inspection status, component times, and maintenance tracking software
Review maintenance logbook entries for completeness and accuracy
Organize, scan, and digitally archive maintenance documents
Track recurring inspections, AD compliance, and component due times
Assist with aircraft records during inspections, audits, and aircraft acquisitions
Coordinate with mechanics, inspectors, pilots, and management to obtain required documentation
Prepare aircraft records for FAA inspections and customer audits
Identify missing documentation and resolve discrepancies
Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems
Assist with administrative projects within the maintenance department as needed

Qualifications

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
High level of professionalism and discretion

Preferred qualifications include:

Aviation maintenance records experience
Part 135, Part 91, or Part 145 experience
Familiarity with FAA maintenance regulations
Experience with aviation maintenance tracking software
Aircraft logbook experience
