Dispatch / Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Location: Kearny, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour

Join Our Team!

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Dispatch / Customer Service Representative to support our transportation and logistics operations. The ideal candidate has dispatch experience, excellent communication skills, and, most importantly, working knowledge of the four New Jersey container terminals.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge of all four New Jersey container terminals is REQUIRED:
PNCT (Port Newark Container Terminal)
APM Terminals
Port Liberty
Maher Terminals
Experience using dispatch software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Proficient in Google Docs
Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities

Dispatch and coordinate drivers efficiently throughout the day
Communicate with drivers, customers, and terminal personnel
Schedule pickups and deliveries
Monitor shipment status and resolve issues promptly
Maintain accurate dispatch records and update dispatch software
Provide exceptional customer service while meeting deadlines
Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely deliveries

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate has previous transportation or trucking dispatch experience and is familiar with the daily operations of the New Jersey port terminals. Knowledge of PNCT, APM, Port Liberty, and Maher is the most important qualification for this position.

Compensation & Schedule

Full-time position
Monday – Friday
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
$23.00–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
