Full Job Description

Providence Colorectal Surgery is hiring! We are a leading providers of colorectal surgery services, and we are looking to add a full-time Colonoscopy Scheduler to our Southfield, MI headquarters.

To be a successful Colonoscopy Scheduler, you should be personable, reliable, and friendly. Our Scheduler spends multiple hours on the phone every day with patients, insurance, and hospitals providing the top-notch service that Providence Colorectal Surgery strives for. You should have experience working with a phone system, electronic scheduling system, emailing software, Microsoft operating and office software systems and be able to prioritize your tasks with minimal supervision.

Due to the nature of this position, we will only consider candidates with a minimum of 1 year of phone-phone experience, electronic scheduling system working, electronic scheduling system, emailing software, Microsoft operating and office software systems, and medical scheduling would be a plus. Candidates who have documented experience with eClinicalWorks and Epic and with Colonoscopy scheduling will be moved to the stop of the list.

Job Duties:

Answer phone lines, managing and returning voicemails.
Boarding patients for endoscopy at ambulatory surgical centers and hospitals.
Obtaining medical clearances.
Obtaining authorization from insurance carriers.
Reviewing and confirming of Colonoscopy schedules by filling and closing gaps
Receive and enter patient information.
Accurate data entry skills in multiple systems.
Handle all patient and office matters with confidentiality.
Comply with HIPAA regulations.
Assist or Support other Scheduling Colleagues.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of phone office experience, medical preferred
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
HIPAA understanding and compliance.
Attention to detail while multitasking.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Windows operating system.
Professional demeanor.

Preferred:

eClinicalWorks Experience Preferred
Colonoscopy Scheduling experience
Electronic Medical Records
Computer & Data Entry Skills
Excellent organizational skills

Job Type:

Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Benefits after probation period, full-time employees will be eligible for:

Schedule:

8 hour shift - 40 hours a week
Monday to Friday - hours are 9am-5pm
